Inquiries and Reports
The Independent Review Officer (Officer) can look at how the personal injury and workers compensation system is working in New South Wales.
Under Part 3, Schedule 5 of the Personal Injury Commission Act 2020 (PIC Act) the IRO can:
- review issues about how the Act and related laws are operating
- Inquire into concerns the Independent Review Officer thinks are important, or
- look into matters the Minister asks the Independent Review Officer to consider
After an inquiry, the IRO prepares a report with findings and observations and may make recommendations for the Minister to consider.
